Complete Cosmetic Care

We believe that the key to healthy skin is good self-care and wellness, and that cosmetic treatments are supplemental to helping you present your best self. We encourage a balanced lifestyle, including sun protection and proper skin care. Personalized cosmetic treatments can then add another dimension to your treatment plan.

Injectables and Fillers

Botulinum Toxins (Botox®, Dysport®, Daxxify®) are approved to improve fine lines and wrinkles caused by facial expressions. To fade lines, small amounts of toxin are injected into the affected skin to stop the underlying muscles from moving. This results in relaxation of the affected area, cessation of the repeated creasing of the skin, and eventual smoothing and fading of the wrinkle. Toxins are indicated for individuals who wish to soften and reduce existing lines that contribute to a tired look but may also be used to prevent fine lines and wrinkles, to contour muscles of the jawline, relax neck lines, and to maintain a smooth youthful look. Concerns that can be treated include the following:

Frown lines between the eyebrows (the 11’s)
Horizontal forehead lines
Crow’s feet around the eyes
Bunny lines of the nose
Vertical lip lines around the mouth (barcode lines)
Excessive down-turning of the corners of the mouth
Pebbled or cobblestone chin
Platysma bands of the neck
Gummy smile
Excess flaring of the nostrils
Facial slimming (masseter hypertrophy)
Excess sweating
Bruxism or teeth grinding

Treatments require 10-15 minutes, with minimal downtime. Results from Botox and Dysport typically last 3 months. Results from Daxxify typically last 6 months. Repeat treatment is required for ongoing effectiveness.

Toxin can be added to custom serums delivered via Aquagold or microneedling to help minimize sebaceous gland activity and enhance facial tone.

Fillers are injectables used to restore volume, contour, and enhance texture. Composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring component of the skin, hyaluronic acid binds water and contributes to the natural fullness and moisture of the skin.

We offer a select range of fillers including the RHA Collection of resilient hyaluronic acid fillers. Fillers are versatile and may be used for the following:

Enhancement of facial contours
Lip augmentation
Smoothing of fine lines around the eyes and mouth
Volume restoration
Correction and restructuring

During treatment, a small needle or cannula is used to place the gel into the desired areas. Topical or injectable anesthesia and ice packs minimize discomfort if needed. Mild swelling, bruising or tenderness may occur but are transient. Results can last for six to twelve months or longer. Hyaluronic acid fillers are often repeated every one to two years or as needed.

Sculptra is an FDA-approved treatment for correction of volume loss, deep lines, and wrinkles. It is an injectable solution composed of poly-L-lactic acid used to stimulate the production of new collagen. Treatment results in natural looking fullness, smoothing of wrinkles, and improved skin quality. Results develop gradually over time and are long-lasting.

Side effects may include bruising, swelling, tenderness, and bumps at the site of injection and resolve with time. Gentle massage of the treatment areas several times a day during the first week following treatment optimizes results. Downtime is typically minimal.

Two to three treatments spaced four to eight weeks apart are recommended. Low dose injections may be repeated yearly as needed over time for ongoing improvement and maintenance.

Radiesse is a dermal filler composed of calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres suspended in a gel-like substance. It is a volumizer and biostimulator used to smooth wrinkles, restore elasticity, enhance skin quality, and minimize laxity and crepiness. Radiesse is long-lasting, nontoxic, and hypoallergenic. Radiesse may be used to treat the face, neck, decolletage, backs of hands, and body.

Side effects may include bruising, swelling, tenderness, and bumps at the site of injection and resolve with time. Downtime is typically minimal.

One to three treatments spaced four to eight weeks apart is typically needed depending upon area treated. Injections are repeated every two years as needed.

Kybella is an injection that provides non-surgical removal of unwanted fat under the chin, called submental fullness or a “double chin”. Kybella is composed of a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, a chemical that permanently removes fat cells. The treatment consists of multiple small injections into the area of unwanted fat. The procedure is repeated every four weeks, for an average of two to three sessions. Mild swelling, bruising, and numbness may occur in the treated area following the injections, though resolve over days to weeks.

Additional treatment options for a double chin include Agnes RF and Scarlet SRF.

Excess sweating can be caused by many processes, including infection, hormone imbalances or autoimmune diseases. Excess sweating can also be normal, in particular heavy sweating of the armpits, hands and feet. In these cases, injection of botulinum toxin into affected areas is an effective treatment for hyperhidrosis. The most commonly treated areas include armpits and hands. During the procedure, small amounts of botulinum toxin are administered throughout the areas of excess sweating. Ice and topical numbing can be used to maximize comfort during the procedure. There is no downtime, and results may be seen as soon as three days and last three to six months.
Sclerotherapy is a procedure indicated for the removal of spider veins and unwanted blood vessels in the skin, most typically on the legs. Removal of unwanted spider veins and blood vessels may be performed with injections or laser. Injections are performed using a solution known as a sclerosant. The sclerosant is injected into the vessels, creating inflammation of the vessel lining known as the endothelium. Laser treatments for veins deliver light that is selectively absorbed by hemoglobin in the small veins creating a heat injury. In both treatment modalities, the small vessels close and are removed by the body.

For best results with either treatment, multiple sessions are required, most typically three. Follow up treatments are scheduled 8-12 weeks apart.

Skin Tightening, Facial Sculpting and Body Contouring

Scarlet is a radiofrequency microneedling (RFM) device for treatment of laxity, crepiness, texture, large pores, wrinkles, surgical scars, and acne scars. Scarlet delivers short pulse, bipolar radiofrequency energy via an array of 25 non-insulated microneedle electrodes. Radiofrequency heats the skin safely, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin, and improving the density and elasticity of the full thickness of the skin.

Scarlet RF may be used on the scalp, face, body, or extremities for the following:

Skin tightening
Smoothing of fine lines and wrinkles
Reduction of pore size
Improvement in texture
Reduction of scars caused by acne, surgery, or injury
Stimulation of hair growth on the scalp (with minoxidil, PRP)

During the procedure, anesthesia is provided by application of a local numbing cream, and nitrous oxide is available for comfort and relaxation. Serums or PRP may be applied immediately following the treatment and should be continued for at least one week to boost results. Transient redness of the treatment area may last for several hours, and light swelling may last one to two days. Most commonly, patients look normal the next day and may return to wearing makeup. Continued improvement in texture and tone are seen progressively over a period of months.

For optimal results, multiple treatments are required. The younger the skin the more quickly the remodeling will occur. A minimum of three treatments is recommended, four to six weeks apart, but more may be required for complete correction. For treatment of age-related concerns, the results do not wear off, but the skin continues to age and repeat treatments, either singly or in a series, may be repeated every six to twelve months for continued improvement and maintenance.

Scarlet RFM is none of the few devices effective for TIGHTENING and is commonly combined with other treatments that target COLOR (BBL, Clarity II) and texture & tone (LaseMD, eCO2). Scarlet RFM is always included in Agnes RFM treatments for facial sculpting.

Agnes RF is an innovative device that utilizes a selection of specialized microinsulated needles to deliver radiofrequency energy precisely to targets within all layers of the skin and subcutaneous fat. The treatment can be used to remove unwanted fat and simultaneously tighten the supporting connective tissues and overlying skin, selectively remove unwanted growths in the skin, and encourage production of new collagen. Agnes RF creates a fresh, youthful appearance by allowing the following:

Facial sculpting of jowls and neck
Submental fat reduction
Under eye bags reduction
Smoothing of superficial wrinkles around the eyes and mouth
Long lasting reduction of acne (see Acne Facial)
Removal of sebaceous hyperplasia
Removal of syringomas

During treatments, a numbing cream is applied to the treatment area and patients may elect to utilize nitrous oxide for comfort. Following facial sculpting treatments, hydrocolloid dressings are applied to the treatment areas and are to be left in place for 48 hours to promote fibrinolysis, angiogenesis and wound healing. Bruising is rare but may occur. Mild swelling will resolve over one to two weeks. Continued improvement is seen progressively over a period of months. Following acne or benign growth removal, no dressings are required, but gentle post-procedure skin care is recommended.

For optimal results, a series of two treatments, two to four months apart is recommended.

Emsculpt Neo is a non-invasive body-shaping procedure that simultaneously eliminates fat and builds muscle. The treatment combines radiofrequency energy to target fat and high intensity focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM) to stimulate muscle. Non-surgical and without the need for anesthesia or downtime, the procedure is appropriate for biceps, triceps, inner thighs, outer thighs, hamstrings/posterior thighs, quads/anterior thighs, calves, buttocks, abdomen, and flanks/waistline.

During the procedure, the skin will feel warm, and the underlying muscles will experience intervals of intense contractions. Four 20-30-minute sessions per targeted area are scheduled between five and fourteen days apart. Additional treatments may be desired, depending on individual goals.

On the day of treatment, patients should arrive well hydrated, with treatment areas clean, dry, and shaved of body hair (if hair is dense in the treatment area). No metallic devices or jewelry may be worn during the procedure. The treated muscles may be sore the following day, but regular activity may be resumed immediately.

The treatment is contraindicated for patients with implanted metal devices, such as a pacemaker.

Laser and Light Treatments

The New BBL HEROic is an advanced intense pulsed light IPL technology utilizing High Energy Rapid Output with Intelligent Control and Skin Positioning System for faster, more effective treatments with minimal downtime.

During a BBL procedure, light is applied to the skin through a cooling crystal and stimulates gene expression of signals responsible for repair and rejuvenation. Treatments correct sun damage, rosacea, pigmented lesions, and vascular lesions, making the skin more clear, bright, and younger appearing. When done regularly, BBL improves skin quality and delays the appearance of changes associated with aging skin.

BBL HEROic treatments may be performed anywhere on the body and are recommend as a monthly series of 3-6 treatment for correction, or as maintenance and prevention 2-4 times a year.

Forever Clear BBL destroys acne-causing bacteria, reduces inflammation and redness, and makes way for clear, healthy skin. An alternative to creams and medicine when not tolerated or not effective, or an add on to a medical regiment to enhance and speed results, Forever Clear BBL is fast, comfortable, and non-invasive, with no patient downtime.

Forever Clear BBL uses a unique three-step process, delivering energy via three wavelengths of BBL light. First, blue light eliminates acne-causing bacteria in the pores. Second, yellow light reduces the inflammation and acne-associated redness. Last, infrared light initiates the body’s natural healing process.

Treatments may be repeated every two to four weeks until acne is controlled. A personalized plan may include follow-up BBL treatments along with a skincare regimen.

The Carbon Peel utilizes the Spectra 1064 nm Nd-YAG laser to exfoliate the dry outer cells of the skin and pores and to rejuvenation and tone the complexion. A carbon solution is applied to the surface of the skin and allowed to permeate into the pores and microscopic outer dead layer of the skin. The laser light is then passed over skin, vaporizing the carbon infused layer exfoliating of both the surface of the skin and the pores. Immediately following treatment, the skin has a light glow and appears refined and smooth.

Without downtime or discomfort, the Carbon Peel is appropriate for all skin types, and can be done one or two days before a special event to refresh the face. No special post-treatment skin care or precautions are necessary. When performed as a series, the Carbon Peel is also effective for treatment of acne.

The Clarity II, a dual-wavelength 755 nm Alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd-YAG laser, uses targeted light energy to produce permanent hair reduction. The laser light is absorbed selectively by hair follicles, heating and destroying the hair without harming the surrounding skin. Clarity II is safe for all skin colors and types.

At the time of each laser treatment, only actively growing hair follicles are affected. Treatments must be repeated over time to target each hair in its growth phase. On average, six sessions are required for long-term reduction of hair. Results can vary and the optimal number of treatments may be different for each person. Additional treatments may be required, particularly in cases of hormonal conditions, or for excessively thick or coarse hair.

On the day of treatment, patients should arrive with clean, freshly shaved skin and without a tan. Cool air or ice packs can help sooth heat during laser treatment if needed. Patients may experience mild swelling, redness, and irritation in the treatment area for a few days following the treatment. Appointments are scheduled every two to six weeks depending upon the body area treated.

A consultation is recommended to determine the best treatment schedule and protocol.

LaseMD, a 1927 nm thulium laser, brightens skin tone and restores a more youthful texture. A non-ablative, fractional laser, LaseMD delivers an array of tiny laser beams to heat micro-columns in the skin. As the skin heals, new collagen and elastin are produced, rebuilding a younger, healthier cellular structure overall.

The LaseMD may be used anywhere on the face or body and is indicated for the following:

To brighten and refresh the skin
To reverse signs of sun damage
To soften fine lines and wrinkles
To prevent age related changes of the skin
To minimize scars
To fade melasma
To remove actinic keratoses (precancerous growths caused by the sun)

On the day of the treatment, a topical numbing cream may be applied along with cool air to minimize the sensation of heat and maximize comfort. Once complete, targeted serums or medications are applied, along with a moisturizer and sunscreen.

Mild swelling resolves over several days, and a fine dryness of the skin may occur after three to four days. For the week following each laser treatment, absorption of products applied to the surface of the skin is enhanced and selected serums should be continued at home along with gentle skin care. Continued improvement in texture and tone is seen over time.

For correction, a series of three treatments scheduled four weeks apart is recommended. Single treatments may be repeated every 6-12 months for continued enhancement.

LaseMD enhances texture and tone and is often combined with other therapies that tighten (Scarlet RFM) and improve color (BBL HEROic, Clarity II). Personalized at home skin care should

A long-standing gold standard in skin rejuvenation, carbon dioxide laser resurfacing offers global and natural appearing skin improvement in color, tightening, texture and tone. An ablative, fractional laser, eCO2 creates tiny micro-channels while leaving bridges of untreated skin, thus treating only a fraction of the skin’s surface. The procedure reduces skin imperfections and promotes collagen regeneration for long-term wrinkle reduction, youthful tone and color.

The number and depth of ablated channels can be adjusted and customized to accommodate a broad range of needs, from mild to dramatic results. The eCO2 may be used anywhere on the face or body to achieve the following:

Reduce lines and wrinkles
Give the skin a more firm, smooth appearance
Improve scars including stretch marks and acne scars
Reduce sun damage, such as brown spots
Reduce skin blotches and blends skin color
Improve appearance of pigmented and vascular conditions
Remove actinic keratoses (precancerous growths caused by the sun)

On the day of the treatment, a topical numbing cream is applied along with cool air to maximize comfort. Oral medications may be prescribed, or a nerve block may be performed.

Immediately following treatment, patients experience some swelling and redness. If your doctor is aggressive during the procedure, the area treated will appear red for a longer period. In most cases, this resolves in one to three weeks. During that time, except for the first few days post-treatment, you may apply makeup to tone down the redness. Normal activities may be resumed, in most cases, within five to seven days.

For correction, one to two treatments may be needed scheduled two to three months apart. The skin will continue to improve over six to nine months as new collagen and elastin are created.

Once healed, personalized at home skin care should be determined and continued to maintain results.

eCO Tone is very gentle application of ablative resurfacing that lightly resurfaces the skin. Easy and less intense, eCO Tone improved fine lines and unwanted pigment without the pain and longer downtime of traditional fractional ablative treatment. With an easy recovery of only one to two days of redness eCO Tone can Improve:

Winkles
Fine lines
Texture irregularities
Pigmented lesions
Vascular dyschromia

eCO Tone may be scheduled as a single session to brighten and smooth the complexion, or in a series over multiple session for continually improving results and long “prejuvenation”.

Glow & Tone is a signature combination of LaseMD and eCO Tone lasers to boost results including correction of sun damage, fading of fine lines, brightening of skin tone, smoothing of texture, and improved skin health. The procedure may be performed anywhere on the face and body.

Glow & Tone treatments are available as Standard or Express. The Glow & Tone Express is a gentle treatment that gives the skin a smart, fresh boost. The Express does not require topical anesthesia, results in a day or two of light pink color and a trace of texture. Treatments are great for regular biostimulation and rejuvenation and can be done monthly. Treatment of the face, neck, and chest is encouraged.

Glow & Tone Standard utilizes higher energies, requires numbing, and results in increased downtime ranging from a few days to up to 1-2 weeks of redness and dry texture, depending on intensity of the treatment. Higher energies are recommended when correction and repair are desired.

Lasers and light treatments eliminate unwanted brown spots or growths in the skin by selectively removing brown color without damaging the surrounding skin. Multiple devices are available to treat pigment including BBL HERO, Clarity II and Spectra. Many types of pigmented lesions may be safely removed including the following:

Freckles
Age spots
Liver spots
Solar lentigos
Seborrheic keratoses
Sun damage
Melasma

A consultation is required prior to treatment to determine the best treatment option and protocol. Following the procedure, patients may experience transient darkening and drying of the spots as they heal. The lesions will naturally resolve over 1-6 weeks, depending upon body area treated. Typically, one to three treatments may be required for complete clearance.

Removal of unwanted brown spots is often combined with treatments to target texture and tone (LaseMD). A personalized at home skin care including sun protection can maintain results between treatments and over time.

Lasers remove unwanted redness or blood vessels in the skin by selectively removing vessels, without damaging the surrounding skin. BBL HERO and Clarity II are both effective for removal of unwanted redness and blood vessels including the following:

Broken blood vessels
Spider veins
Rosacea
Sun damage (poikiloderma or actinic damage)
Venous lake of the lip
Hemangiomas
Port wine stains
Cherry angiomas

A consultation is required prior to treatment to determine the best treatment option and protocol. Following the treatment, patients may experience redness, swelling and bruising for up to a week. Depending upon the condition, one to three treatments or more performed at four to six week intervals may be needed for optimal results.

Removal of unwanted redness is often combined with treatments to target texture and tone (LaseMD). A personalized at home skin care including sun protection can maintain results between treatments and over time.

SkinTyte uses infra-red light to deeply heat dermal collagen, while contact cooling of the sapphire crystal protects the epidermis from burning. With this advanced technology, the treatment initiates the body’s natural healing process, restoring to a more youthful appearance and reduction in the appearance of lax, sagging skin. A series of six treatments, scheduled every two weeks, is recommended for best results.

The Spectra Q-switched Nd: YAG laser is effective at removing tattoos of all colors. The laser uses light energy to break down the pigment of an unwanted tattoo, allowing the body to slowly clear away the color. Treatments can be used to completely remove an unwanted tattoo or to fade certain areas of a tattoo to allow modifications.

On the day of the treatment, a topical numbing cream is used to maximize comfort. Patients may experience frosting of the skin, redness, swelling and occasionally blistering following the procedure. Icing the area afterwards is helpful. Symptoms may last for up to one week.

Multiple treatments scheduled every few months are required for complete removal.

LightStim LED therapy is a relaxing, non-invasive therapeutic treatment that can be administered on its own or combined with other treatments to elevate results. Benefits include increased circulation and oxygenation, destruction of acne causing bacteria, and accelerated post-procedure recovery.
