Dr. Carmen Berger

Carmen Berger, MD is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. In private practice dermatology since 2003, Dr. Berger has authored articles in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks, lectured at professional society meetings, and been named to the Seattle Top Doctor list multiple years.

Dr. Berger earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of California at Berkeley, majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology and minoring in Spanish. She attended the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee for her medical degree. Double boarded in both internal medicine and dermatology, Dr. Berger received her training at the University of Washington, completing a residency in internal medicine, a Clinician-Teacher fellowship in internal medicine, and a residency in dermatology. She was a chief resident in dermatology during her final year of training.

Dr. Berger’s dermatology practice is inspired by the desire to help patients understand and care for their skin. A love of science, enjoyment of clinical medicine, and dedication to those under her care motivate her to work for the best possible outcomes for every one of her patients.

In her free time Dr. Berger enjoys cooking, exercising, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Rebecca Patton, PA-C

Rebecca Patton, PA-C is a certified dermatology physician assistant. She has been practicing medicine since 2000 and in boutique private dermatology practice since 2004.

Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Michigan State University, majoring in Public Policy and International Relations. She attended Pacific University in Oregon for her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies.

Rebecca has been a guest lecturer for several Pacific Northwest universities and has received private training for executive leadership coaching. She has been on the master’s program admissions team with Pacific University and has precepted MD/DO, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and naturopathic students. She is a member of several professional organizations including the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Rebecca enjoys the puzzles that are complicated rashes and the challenging procedures involved with medical dermatology. She is a skilled cosmetic injector and enjoys guiding patients with their cosmetic decision making.

Our Facility

Arboretum Dermatology is located in the Arboretum Court building at the edge of the Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle, Washington. Designed by Freiheit Architecture, built by Big Sky Northwest, with interiors by Catherine Farrington Interiors, the clinic opened in January 2018. The clinic offers well-appointed patient areas and treatment rooms, free on-site and street parking, state-of-the-art medical equipment, and a paperless electronic medical record and patient portal.

PLEASE NOTE: If a referral is required by your insurance plan, please have a referral on file with our office prior to your appointment. This is the patient’s responsibility. If a referral is not received by the time of the appointment, a self-pay will be required at the time of service or your appointment may be rescheduled.
